Licensing for Reprographic usage of printed and digital works of authors and publishers are mandated to Reprographic Rights Organisations, as mentioned in Copyright Act, 1957

The Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) is the sole and exclusive copyright society mandated to issue blanket / transactional reprographic usage licenses for foreign and Indian authors and publishers in India by the Department of Copyright, Government of India, under section 33(3) of the Copyright Act, 1957
